Clover Cochran is a Texas native, who grew up on her family’s working cattle ranch
near Caldwell, Texas. Clover studied sculpture under Roger Columbik at Southwest Texas
State University. She expanded skills as a bronze artisan while working for Michael and
Rosemary Hall in Driftwood, Texas, and at Shidoni Art Foundry in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Currently, Clover works at Deep in the Heart Art Foundry in Bastrop, Texas. A skilled
horsewoman, her equestrian work evokes a physical sense of horse and rider in motion,
with overtones of the mythos of life in the southwest. Although many pieces of Clover’s
portfolio portray horses, she does not limit herself to this subject matter. Mentor and
father, Glenn Cochran’s favorite work by Clover is of a goldfish.
